What Is ESG
What is ESG?
ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. It is a framework used to assess the sustainability and ethical impact of a company or organization. The United Nations (UN) has acknowledged the significance of ESG factors in fostering sustainable development and responsible business practices. The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established in 2015, consist of 17 global objectives aimed at tackling urgent social, economic, and environmental issues. ESG initiatives promoted by the UN urge organizations to align their strategies with these goals to make a positive contribution to society and the planet.
Key UN initiatives related to ESG include:
- UN Global Compact: This initiative encourages businesses around the world to adopt sustainable and socially responsible practices. It outlines ten principles that address human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.
- Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The SDGs provide a framework for organizations to confront global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and environmental degradation. By aligning their operations with these goals, companies can significantly enhance their contribution to sustainable development.
- Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI): The PRI is a UN-supported framework that encourages investors to incorporate ESG factors into their investment decisions, thereby promoting sustainable financial markets.
- UN Global Compact: This initiative encourages businesses around the world to adopt sustainable and socially responsible practices. It outlines ten principles that address human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.

Our Part
- Our projects will be well-structured to ensure long-lasting benefits and avoid the pitfalls of short-term initiatives.
- To build the 3H model we are raising and training local believers, we address both spiritual and practical needs, expanding the reach of our missional efforts beyond financial limitations.
- Inspired by Jesus’s instructions in Matthew 10 and Luke 10, we emphasize that missions should prioritize making disciples over merely providing resources. This approach ensures that our mission work is grounded in building relationships and community. And, employing online tools to expand outreach and engage more people in mission activities.
- Hosting a sustainability on missionary conference annually presents a valuable opportunity to raise public awareness about the critical intersection of faith and environmental stewardship. By bringing together missionaries, community leaders, and environmental experts, the conference can highlight the importance of sustainable practices in mission work and encourage participants to take actionable steps in their own communities.
